Why didn't we think like them??

 Preface: This blog is written by taking inspiration from some of the people around us who have taken a small step towards doing something good for the humanity. After hearing and seeing as to what they did, i got goosebumps, indeed. And i think that the same will happen to most of you.

Ganpati Bappa Morya!

With the festive season around, we just start preparing for them.. cleaning our houses and decorating them.. preparing sweets and  enjoying OURSELVES. But did we ever think about the others? May be yes. May be no. May be some just thought and then just 'Thought'.. but didn't do anything. But, there are some angels who think about others , and themselves too. No one says to forget yourself. You just need to respect and help the others too. 

As for the recent Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the entire India was busy buying Ganesh Ji's idols and spending bulk amounts on them. They are now waiting for the Visarjan festivity. In which they'll make the best use (pun intended) of the *idle* seas and lakes and water bodies. But let me show you something.. 

Large broken pieces of our beloved Lord Ganesha lie ruthlessly on the ground. The above pictures are not of a specific year. This is what has been happening since many years, specially in Maharashtra. In one of the past few years, after Ganesh Visarjan, therecwere high tides which exposed more than a million idols , submerged in the seas, on the seashore, for 4 to 5 KILOMETERS!! You can well imagine how much polluted the sea would have been! A foreigner who had visited India during that time shared this post.. It was so heart wrenching to see all these images on google!

 Is it devotion or destruction?

Spoiling of landscape is not the sole menace caused by people.. In the festivities, such a large gathering is there in which every year, hundreds of people get separated from their families too! 

The careless celebration by us turns into a nightmare for so many innocent people !

The worst impact. We humans are not OWNERS of this Earth. We are just a species, like other million living creatures. It's good to be devotional and celebrate festivals, but this way of celebrating is very much wrong. The number of fish and other creatures that die due to the synthetic paints and harmful chemicals used while creating the idols, is innumerable. 

But there are some angels😇😇 too! 

Who celebrate festivals and take care of our Earth!

Lets see some of them: 

Aditi Khera, my sweet neighbour. 

Her family background is based on Maharashtra . Like others, she is also celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi but in a special way! She spent 2 days in preparing her handmade Ganesha. Look! This looks so pretty, right? And this will not affect the environment at all. Its made from a plant's sand and after doing the visarjan in some bucket or vessel, she will again put it back in the plant. Everything is eco friendly here. Isn't Bappa cute? And see the Mushak and ladoos!

She has also created a page on Fb and Instagram 'The Hope Heroes' in which she writes about people who are serving  the society. Read the stories once, and you'll surely get goosebumps!

And for these little acts of love  and kindness, i would love to give her an appreciation certificate for being the change.☺☺💕💕

Bcz very few people actually do something by spending time.

Now, let us look at some other activities going on 

Another astounding idea that struck these bakers' minds was to make Ganesha of chocolate and after Visarjan in milk, the shake was distributed among poor children. In some other cases, sweets were made out of the melted chocolate and distributed among poor children! What a great idea! 

Indeed, such a noble mindset do these people have! 

If we all start doing such things, how different our Earth would be! 

Last , but not the least: 

While ordinary idols take many years to dissolve, they take just 4 to 5 hours! 

And when they dissolve, fish and other aquatic animals can have their feast. What an inspiring NGO!

So, this is how ordinary human beings like us, are contributing in the betterment of the humanity. I am sure you will have got some inspiration from these Hope Heroes! Also, educate yourself and your family , neighbors, friends about the dire need to save the environment as soon as we can.

EDUCATE YOUR SOUL, NOT JUST YOUR MIND!

A MUST READ FOR ALL STUDENTS, KIDS, PARENTS, TEACHERS..WHO WISH TO GET GOOD GRADES AND WHO WISH THEIR LADS TO SUCCEED AND TOP!

IF U LL miss ANY SINGLE LINE, U WONT GET UR ANS.So don't be lazy.

Did you try to go against your father who prevented you from shaking hands or talking to your house helper? Did you bother to oppose your mother who prevented you from playing with the rickshaw puller's kid? If NO, then I insist you to believe that you are not educated in the true sense , because IF YOU WERE, then you would have surely upheld the values of equality, humility and generosity that you had perused in SOME FAMILIAR BOOK of moral science. Our current day prejudices render ALL OUR ROT LEARNING USELESS, in the flick of a second!

Real education is not just studying to get OR RATHER EARN A FINE REPORT CARD with supercalifragilistic grades, but to reflect them in our workaholic routine. For me,education is like the POLE STAR 💫💎 that can JUST GUIDE ME ALONG MY WAY, but it is I WHO HAVE TO MOVE FORWARD BY STICKING TO ITS DIRECTION! It is a SHIELD which helps a person to go undettered, sailing through the savage storms that surround him.

REAL EDUCATION = EDUCATION GRASPED IN THE 4 WALLS OF A CLASSROOM + LIFE LESSONS AND EXPERIENCES AS WE SAIL THROUGH IT.

If in school we become the topper, but we are not socially wise, then all our EDUCATION will be rendered futile. What is the benefit of running the rat race which would never make us stand competent in the actual race of life? In a nutshell, I believe that real education can be attained only if we FORGET THE BARRIERS OF CASTE, CREED RACE, ETC, and WE try to PRACTISE what EDUCATION PREACHES. Read this sentence once again.

There should be no difference between our KNOWING AND DOING. And if we try to go beyond the sacrosanct principles of education, trying to SELF-DISCOVER ourselves, we would surely become the ardent archetypes of being educated.

  Is to HUNT for REAL EDUCATION, as our ONLY GOAL! "

I am not trying to give u a satsang.. I am just trying to make u realise WHY/ HOW SHOULD YOU KEEP ON STUDYING WHEN UR PARENTS FORCE U TO ? If you study with the soul aim to GAIN KNOWLEDGE.. U ll surely soar in the sky and will become anything u wish to be. Digest each and every line I have said and try to implement it.. then come to me and tell me what improvement u have made in ur grades.. I m sure that the next time u open ur books, u ll find an innate desire to read your boring history books even,! Believe me.. it is a self tried method!

Often did we write in essays and poems, 

"Man is a social animal"

But did we ever bother to notice, 

When he started turning a cannibal! 

Although not a flesh-eater, 

But a vampire of his fellow's soul, 

He started becoming jealous of the others, 

And made criticizing, his only goal. 

Outerly praising the other's success, but deep inside busy-

Busy cooking ideas to put his success down, 

Bullying, ragging, negativity, & dejectedness, 

Made his fellow bear an all-time frown! 

With thousands of people all around, 

But not even 'one' whom to actually share, 

So, instead of giving vent to his feelings, 

He decided to helplessly SELF-BEAR !

And this started taking a huge toll on his brain, 

Which was flooded with negative thoughts.

With no1 to support him any longer, 

The thought of suicide, his mind now brought! 

And leaving behind his parents & friends, 

Whom he didn't even bother to share, 

But decided to bear them all alone, 

Hanged himself with a lot of dare! 

And after his death, those cannibals tweeted, 

"RIP, Oh dear you! "  

And showed his fake concern for his family

But inside, was very happy, to be true! 

This is the harsh reality, 

Behind each wide smile, 

And beacuse of the push by others, 

People often fail to thrive! 

But, why should one end his life, 

Because of some other wicked soul?

So, Find a reason to live and rejoice, 

With God's people who have a selfless goal! 

Today, let us pledge to rescue and help, 

And lend a shoulder to someone.

Pledge to listen to all his grievances, 

Till the time there's left, NONE. 

Through this, we'll give a reason to others, 

To live in this world with happiness. 

And forgive behind, all others, 

Who bring to them, dejectedness! 

Remember! Your promise should be kept, 

Till the very end of your life. 

And stick to goodness forever, my friend,

When life is getting you down,

And you'll find people who brighten your day! 

Brighten your day by risking their lives, 

And leave behind them, their worried children and wives👨‍👩‍👦! 

Those people are real angels👼, 

Who serve us amidst so many dangers! 

Its not that the fear of dying does not scare, 

They fight🙅 day and night with dare! 

Now that we find ourselves on the dark side of the world🌏, 

God will strengthen our hope in the tricolor we have always furled! 

As the doctors👷 risk their lives to cure the sick, 

We have the hope that they'll help us through thin and thick. 

They pray day and night, and ring the temple bell, 

To scare CORONA VIRUS🤖, which is ringing the death's knell.

They work relentlessly,  to overcome and to bring peace, 

And to force this horrible COVID-19 to quickly cease!

 

Generous people are preparing food 🍱galore,

And are helping the poor, who even sleep on the floor! 

Embraced in deep love and efforts of policemen, 👮 

Now is the time for us to help and appreciate them 

The sanitation workers👲 do their work by risking their lives, 

Though they know that for this, they may have to pay a huge price. 

But deep inside their heart❤, they have the feel,

That bcz of them, their countrymen are still full of zeal. 

But it is not only them, who should sacrifice, 

Each and every countryman should give them their prize🏆! 

For this, we have to play our part to contribute, 

By paying corona warriors, a worthy tribute. 

Just as the sun☀ rises after each dawn, 

I'm sure that from each one of us,  a new hope will be born! 

And the hope will continue to encourage all of us, 

Deep faith and protection, O God, give to corona warriors, thus!

As tears rolled down my cheeks,

I thought... 💭

Why should sadness - ONLY to me 

Be brought? 

That time, a tear came in front of me, 

And said:

This is the path

Every human has to tread. 

For sweetest things

Turn sourest by their deeds, 

Lilies that fester, 

Smell far worse than weeds!

I am forced to trickle down your eyes, 

Because of what you do:

O that you gave a penny 

To the hungry beggar whom you shoed! 

Your family,  whom you call

Did you spare a moment from your phone, 

To care for them? 

You heartily pose for a selfie

To show how happy you are, 

But did you apologize to your 'enemy'

Whom you fought with, and gave a scar?

What humans did to nature,

And for the torture to animals,

Optimism

                        OPTIMISM!

The tree 🌲  that stands,  towering in the sky,

Is optimistic,  do you know why? 

Although it's roots are pretty deep,  

But bcz of them,it never considers itself as cheap. 

It spreads it's benefit all around,  

And makes everyone, with itself,  bound!

It becomes a friend of sun & sky, 

With its trunk,  that always towers high. 

Thus,it becomes an epitome of being optimistic, 

By considering it's positive qualities,  through thin & thick!  

The tiny ANT 🐜 ,far away from all that's high,                   

Is optimistic,  do you know why? 

Its tiny self has no fear of being squeezed under some foot, 

But, by relentlessly working,  how much effort does it put! 

By not feeling inferior,and head held high, 

It feeds its family,by the courage with which it stands by! 

Thus,it becomes an epitome of being optimistic, 

By considering its positive qualities,  through thin & thick!  

If nature can have such positive thoughts, 

Why can't they, in humans be brought? 

The SAGES, who pray high up in the mountains,

Yes, from negative thoughts,  they do abstain! 

They don't bother the hardships they face,

But only see God's path, which they are destined to trace. 

Thus, they become an epitome of being optimistic, 

By considering their positive qualities,  through thin & thick!  

Instead of seeing a glass as half-empty, 

See it as half-full, though not abundantly. 

Instead of considering life as full of troubles,

Enjoy it as the happiness a child gets on seeing mere bubbles!!

Instead of staring at a lemon 🍋 and watching it degrade, 

Squeeze it, and make lemonade! 

Instead of blaming others & cursing them, 

Look in the mirror, you'll see the most precious gem!
The most precious gem 💎 ! 

                     So, stay positive, 

                  Don't think negative, 

              Change your perspective, 

                  Find an alternative, 

And your life will soon bcm productive❤
